Accra Academy suffers third fire outbreak


Information gathered by GhanaTalksRadio indicates that, last night, fire destroyed dormitories of Accra Academy.

The fire, which is said to have started around 7pm yesterday – according to the teachers – while the students were at the prep.

Meanwhile, three fire attendants were at the scene to quench the fire, which its cause is yet to be established.

On the 15th January last year, sections of the two halls in Accra Academy, Alema and Halm-Addo Hall were destroyed by fire at around 7pm. About two weeks later, there was another fire in the Alema hall around the same time on January 28, last year. 

Three fire incidents have therefore been recorded at the school so far.

Report shows the students had their properties destroyed, but casualties were not recorded however.
