Another Takoradi girl in kidnappers den; captors demandingly ¢5k ransom


A 13 years old girl, student of Peace Academy in Anaji has been kidnapped by unknown persons.

The name of the victim as well as the guardian or parents have been withheld for good reasons.
The innocent girl is said to have packed off from school and headed towards home after closing from school at 3pm.

The news broke out when the relative of the girl received an anonymous call from the kidnappers who demanded a ransom of five thousand Ghana cedis (GH5,000.00) before her release.

The situation haa left fears amongst residents, as this reminds them of the Takoradi girls who went missing three years ago.

However, the family of the victim have reported the incident to the police and investigating is underway.

A lady who is only known as, Josephine, called the grandparent of the victim, demanding the payment of the ransom.

Also, she had a brief chat with the victim just to confirm they had the girl in their custody.
So far, no arrangements for negotiation have been made by both police and the parents of the victim.

The stretch from the school to Kamsaworodo where the incident of the last four girls were recorded.

The lesson from the past events had made the family and police very cautious on how to handle the matter.

No comment has been made by the police yet.
