Black Stars moves three places to 49th in the latest FIFA ranking


Ghana’s Blackstar moved three (3) places from 52nd to 49th place in the latest FIFA world ranking for the month of March, GhanaTalksRadio reports.

The Black Stars of Ghana accumulated a points total of 1425.46 in comparison to last month’s figure of 1424. The team recorded a draw against South Africa and victory over São Tomé and Príncipe in last month’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Charles Akonnor’s side are in seventh place behind, Egypt, Morocco and Algeria. Senegal, Tunisia and West African neighbour, Nigeria occupies the top 3 position in the. Cameroon, Mali and Ivory Coast complete the top ten position in the continent.

Belgium remains the top team in the world and they are followed by France, Brazil, England and Portugal.
