The Kaneshie District court has discharged 38 suspects involved in the alleged Western Togoland case.
This add up to 49 – a number of accused persons who have been discharged upon advise from the attorney general.
“The prosecution has received advise from the Attorney General’s office on the docket indicates, there is not enough evidence to accused the following persons,” detective inspector, Richard Amoah told the court.
Another group of 38 has been charged with conspiracy to commit crime, and have been remanded into the police custody awaiting the bill indictment from the Attorney General.
The case has been adjourned to July 19, 2021.
