The Ghana Police Service says, “it has prepared all the necessary security for the safety of the planned demonstration by the youth of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) on July 6, 2021”, this is according to a report sighted by GhanaTalksRadio on GBC.
The Inspector General of police James Oppong Boanuh, held a meeting with the organizers of the demonstration at the headquarters in Accra on Friday.
All matters relating to the march were duly discussed and agreed upon including the routes and strict measures of Covid19 protocols.
The police had earlier declined the invitation to provide security for the demonstrators due to Covid19 restrictions still imposed.
But the NDC insisted and embarking on the protest refuting the reasons of declining the process.
The youth organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo said that, the police however accepted their early decision after series of meetings between two parties.
