November FIFA ranking sees Black Stars fall to 8th position in Africa


The senior national team, the Black Stars have fallen down to a lowly 8th place in Africa. In a ranking released today, The Black Stars, picked 1424 points to slide down to 52nd position in the world, and 8th on the continent.

The top position in Africa is occupied by, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and neighbour Nigeria.

Ghana’s senior female national team, Black Queens, maintain last month’s ranking of 60th position on the World and 4th in Africa.

The Black Stars’ last fixture was a 2-0 home win over Sudan in Cape Coast two weeks and a 1-0 lose in the return leg in Khartoum as part of 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The four-time African champions would return to action next year when they face South Africa on March 22nd and Sao Tome and Principe 6 days later.
