Bank of Ghana releases latest daily exchange rates for major currencies

The Bank of Ghana has published its latest daily exchange rates for Monday, 31 August 2026, covering the US dollar, pound sterling and euro against the Ghanaian cedi.

The US dollar recorded a buying rate of GH¢11.2444 and a selling rate of GH¢11.2556.

For the British pound sterling, the buying rate was GH¢15.2226, while the selling rate stood at GH¢15.2390.

The euro recorded a buying rate of GH¢13.0286 and a selling rate of GH¢13.0415.

The Bank of Ghana explained that the rates represent the average interbank rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business on Friday, 28 August 2026.

The published rates serve as a reference for businesses, financial institutions and individuals monitoring movements in major international currencies against the Ghanaian cedi.
