The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has issued a strong warning to cyber criminals who believe they can hide behind the anonymity of the internet.
The CID stressed that while the internet may provide a level of anonymity, it does not guarantee immunity from prosecution. The department said it will continue working with its partners to strengthen efforts to track down individuals involved in cybercrime.
According to the CID, intelligence-led investigations, digital forensics and international cooperation will remain key tools in identifying and disrupting cybercriminal networks.
The department further assured the public that offenders identified through investigations would be pursued and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
The CID reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the digital space and ensuring that cyber criminals are held accountable for their actions.
