Dollar, Pound and Euro Exchange Rates Remain Key Reference Rates for Ghana

The Bank of Ghana has published its daily exchange-rate figures for Monday, 24 August 2026, providing reference buying and selling rates for major international currencies against the Ghana cedi.
The US dollar is listed at a buying rate of GH¢11.1144 and a selling rate of GH¢11.1256. The pound sterling is quoted at GH¢15.1634 for buying and GH¢15.1797 for selling.
For the euro, the published rates stand at GH¢12.9879 for buying and GH¢13.0008 for selling.
The Bank of Ghana explains that its published interbank reference rate is derived from transactions reported by banks and is intended to reflect prevailing market conditions. Its official data shows these figures correspond to transactions at the close of business on Friday, 21 August 2026. (Bureau of Ghanaian Languages)
The exchange rates serve as an important reference for businesses, financial institutions and other market participants dealing in foreign currencies. Changes in these rates can influence the cedi value of imports, international payments and other foreign-exchange transactions.
