The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the respect and dignity of all Ghanaians living and travelling around the world.

In a statement attributed to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Ministry emphasised that protecting the dignity of Ghanaians remains a fundamental part of its mandate.

The Minister noted that the principle of human dignity also guides Ghana’s conduct and decisions within the international community.

The message comes amid growing discussions about the treatment and protection of Ghanaians abroad, with the Ministry stressing the importance of ensuring that Ghanaian citizens receive appropriate protection and respect wherever they may be.

According to the statement, the dignity of every person must remain a central consideration in Ghana’s engagement with other nations.

The Minister therefore urged that all engagements involving Ghanaians and international partners be approached with a clear understanding that nothing can be more valuable than human dignity.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry says it will continue to uphold the interests, welfare and dignity of Ghanaians across the world.
