Ghana passport online application portal restored after technical issues

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Ghana’s online passport application website is back up and running after experiencing technical difficulties.

In a public announcement dated 25 August 2026, the Ministry said its technical team, together with the National Signals Bureau, had successfully resolved the issues affecting the website.

The Ministry has therefore informed applicants that they can now access the online passport application portal and continue with their applications.

The Ministry expressed appreciation to the public for their patience and understanding during the period of disruption.

The announcement was addressed to all media houses and comes as the Ministry continues to expand and improve Ghana’s digital passport services. The Ministry’s official website currently provides access to online passport services. (mfa.gov.gh)
