Government earns US$35m dividend from Perseus Mining

The Government has received a US$35 million dividend, equivalent to approximately GH¢391 million, from Perseus Mining Ghana Limited.

The payment represents the Government’s 10 per cent stake in the mining company and marks a significant increase compared with the US$5 million dividend received last year.

The latest dividend is about seven times the amount paid to the Government in the previous year, highlighting the increased returns from its interest in Perseus Mining Ghana Limited.
