GTA Extends December in GH 2026 Event Proposal Deadline
The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has extended the deadline for the submission of event proposals for the 2026 edition of “December in GH”.
In a statement issued on Friday, August 28, the Authority announced that event organisers, promoters, cultural innovators and experience creators now have until Monday, September 7, 2026, to submit their proposals.
The GTA said the extension is intended to give organisers additional time to submit their concepts for consideration and possible inclusion in the official festive season programme.
The “December in GH” 2026 calendar is scheduled to run from December 1, 2026, to January 3, 2027, featuring a wide range of events celebrating Ghanaian culture, creativity, entertainment, heritage and tourism.
According to the GTA, the initiative forms part of the “Black Star Experience”, a broader effort to showcase Ghana’s cultural and creative offerings to both domestic and international visitors.
The Authority said selected events would be incorporated into the official “December in GH” 2026 programme and promoted through its local and international platforms.
Event organisers interested in participating have therefore been encouraged to submit their proposals by September 7, 2026, through the designated application platform.
The extension is expected to provide organisers with more time to refine and submit proposals that reflect the quality, diversity and cultural richness of Ghana’s festive season.
