By Zainab Ali

The countdown to one of Ghana’s biggest celebrations of DJ culture has officially begun, with organisers announcing December 4, 2026, as the date for the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards.

The 2026 edition, powered by Smirnoff, will be held under the theme “All Out,” signalling a new chapter for an awards scheme that celebrates DJs and the important role they play in Ghana’s entertainment industry.

The announcement has already generated anticipation among DJs, music lovers and entertainment industry players as preparations begin for the annual celebration.

DJs have become an increasingly important part of Ghana’s music ecosystem. Beyond playing recorded music, they influence what audiences listen to, introduce emerging songs and artistes, and often help shape nightlife and entertainment trends.

The Ghana DJ Awards has provided a platform for recognising these contributions by celebrating DJs across different categories.

This year’s “All Out” theme is expected to reflect the energy surrounding the upcoming ceremony, while also highlighting the growing influence of DJs within Ghana’s entertainment landscape.

The organisers have also begun activities leading up to the main event, including regional engagements designed to connect the awards with DJs and music communities across the country.

With December 4 now confirmed, attention will gradually turn to nominations, performances, participating DJs and the eventual winners.

For Ghana’s entertainment community, the awards remain an opportunity to celebrate the people behind the music and recognise the DJs who continue to keep parties, clubs, radio shows and major events alive.
