Newly elected regional executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from the Western and Savannah Regions have paid a courtesy call on the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the newly elected executives to engage with the flagbearer following their election and discuss the way forward for the party at the regional and grassroots levels.

Dr Bawumia urged the executives to make unity a priority and work closely with members and supporters across the various constituencies and branches.

He stressed the importance of strengthening the party’s organisational structures, noting that a well-organised grassroots base is essential to building a stronger and more effective political party.

The flagbearer also encouraged the executives to promote cooperation among party members and avoid divisions that could undermine the NPP’s organisational efforts.

The newly elected executives are expected to play a key role in coordinating party activities, mobilising supporters and strengthening engagement between the regional leadership and the grassroots.

The courtesy call comes as the NPP continues efforts to reorganise and consolidate its structures, with renewed emphasis on unity, grassroots mobilisation and organisational strengthening.

Dr Bawumia’s engagement with the Western and Savannah regional executives therefore signals the importance being placed on building a cohesive party base capable of supporting the NPP’s activities and future political objectives.
