PURC Commissions New Headquarters To Strengthen Utility Regulation And Service Delivery
The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) has commissioned a new headquarters aimed at strengthening utility regulation and improving service delivery across the country.
The modern facility is expected to enhance the Commission’s capacity to monitor, regulate, and respond to challenges in Ghana’s energy and utility sectors.
Speaking at the event, PURC Executive Secretary, Dr. Shafic Sulemana, said the new office will improve operational efficiency and provide a more conducive working environment for staff.
He noted that the Commission is adapting to the evolving demands of the sector and needs the right infrastructure to deliver on its mandate effectively.
Dr. Sulemana added that the headquarters will also enable PURC to engage more effectively with stakeholders, consumers, and utility service providers to ensure fair tariffs, quality service, and consumer protection.
The move forms part of broader efforts to modernize its operations and deepen regulatory oversight in the energy, water, and other utility sectors.
