This Is Ghana Exhibition Celebrates Local Creativity, Culture and Enterprise

By Zainab Ali

Ghanaian creativity, culture and entrepreneurship took centre stage over the weekend as the 2026 edition of the This Is Ghana Exhibition brought together businesses, creatives and members of the public at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra.

The two-day exhibition, held on August 29 and 30, created a space for Ghanaian brands and entrepreneurs to showcase their products, talents and ideas while connecting directly with consumers.

The event offered visitors an opportunity to experience different aspects of Ghanaian enterprise in one location, from locally produced goods and food to art, fashion, craftsmanship and creative businesses.

Beyond shopping and entertainment, exhibitions of this nature provide an important platform for small businesses that may not always have access to large commercial spaces or major audiences.

For many entrepreneurs, being able to display their products physically allows potential customers to interact with their brands, ask questions and understand the stories behind what they produce.

The event also highlighted the growing interest in supporting locally made products and giving Ghanaian creatives greater visibility.

In recent years, Ghana’s creative and entrepreneurial sectors have increasingly become part of the country’s social lifestyle, with exhibitions, pop-up markets and cultural events creating spaces where business and entertainment meet.

The This Is Ghana Exhibition therefore served not only as a marketplace but also as a celebration of the people and ideas contributing to Ghana’s creative economy.

As local businesses continue to look for innovative ways to reach consumers, events that combine culture, commerce and entertainment could become an increasingly important part of Ghana’s lifestyle scene.
