Why are Ghanaian youth losing interest in staying in the country?

For many young Ghanaians, the dream of building a successful future increasingly includes leaving the country. Better salaries, employment opportunities, education and improved living conditions abroad are some of the major reasons young people consider migration.
The concern, however, is not simply that young people want to travel. It is that some no longer see Ghana as a place where they can achieve their ambitions.
Unemployment, low wages, limited opportunities and the high cost of living can create frustration among the youth. Even graduates sometimes spend years searching for jobs that match their qualifications.
Ghana risks losing valuable talent if young people believe their only opportunity for a better life is outside the country.
