Trotro storms into motorbike at Newtown


According to circulating reports, an unforeseen accident occured at Newtown, a suburb of Accra at about 6:30 pm on Monday, when a Nissan Urvan with registration number GC 8751 -12 collided with a motorcycle head-on – the accident which sent huge traffic across the Dworwulu extension of Newtown.

It is said that the driver of the Urvan vehicle had a verbal altercation with the rider shortly after Collison – which eventually led to a fierce fight. For over ten minutes, the two continued to exchange jabs as spectators watched in excitement, hoping to know who won the round.

Others parties, who are said to have be the accomplice of the driver and the rider could not help but took the opportunity to showcase their fighting skills. According to observations, none of the people involved in the fight wore masks – a situation which could be a major recipe for the outburst of covid-19 cases.

Some onlookers however, proceeded to calm the escalating situation. During the course of the incident, the police were nowhere to be found.

Following the resolution of the situation, the rider had incurred slight injuries, while the windshield of the Urvan vehicle had been shattered.
