Former Liverpool star, Xabi Alonso has reached an agreement to take over Monchengladbach in June 2021 as it’s new manager.
The 39-year-old is currently in charge of the Real Sociedad B team, but will return to Germany in June to assume the highest position in Monchengladbach.
Alonso will succeed Marco Rose, who signed an agreement at the end of the season after activating the terms of his current contract last month to become Dortmund’s manager.
Xabi Alonso is one of the most famous players in football. The Spanish sensation has won three Bundesliga titles with Bayern and the Champions League with Liverpool and Real Madrid. He is also noted to be a recipient of the the World Cup and two European titles, which he won with his national team.
